Turkish food done right

An excellent experience!

You know the feeling when you’ve found a new place to go for dinner and the food is incredible? You will when you come to the Sultan Sofrasi restaurant on New Road!

Turkish food is delicious, I was lucky enough to try some amazing food while I was in Turkey a few years back and the food here immediately brought me back to that experience. To start with, the complimentary bread basket and salad are delicious, the bread freshly prepared and the salad crisp and fresh. I ordered the chicken shish, a classic, however, this is not the usual type you’d get from a kebab shop. Top quality meat, extremely juicy and tender and served with a mix of rice. Simple but tasty.

I must also say, get the chilli sauce, have it on everything. It’s cool and full of spice and flavour, just don’t eat the whole pot at once!

The service was warm and friendly and the restaurant clean, the music just the right volume to enjoy and allow for conversation. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone and you should definitely give it a try yourself!
